Quotes of Integrity, collected by yours truly (me) and inspired by the meanness of others. People can so often and so easily choose to do the wrong thing. I know I have and likely will again. But in an effort not to fall below my own standars, I am posting some quotes to remind myself that Integrity matters, and my character is more important than my image or the abasement of others. Also, that people will remember me for what I do, not what I say. So if I make the mistake of saying something wrong, it will be forgotten, but if I make the mistake of doing something wrong, it will be remembered. Morals can mean so much and say a great deal of a person – Thanks, Mom and Dad, for equipping me with the right compas for the journey and thanks, to my friends and family, forgiving me when I strayed from true north.
I had to recently clean out my friends list on FB. Knowing someones true character is one of those pieces of information that you get and after you have it you wish you didn’t know, because you cant erase that from your brain. There is no delete button. There is only the truth and the truth isn’t always something you really want to know.
Once you know it, it changes how you feel and therefore how you act. I feel very strongly that there is a certain quality to the people I want to surround myself with. And while I dont expect anyone to be perfect, or always choose the right thing to do, or never make a mistake, I do expect a certain amount of compassion, sympathy, and regret for mistakes made. And a lack there of speaks of a character type that I dont want to be associated with.
If that makes me a snotty bitch, then I guess that makes me a snotty bitch. Oh well. No further adeu, here are the quotes:
